ABOUT ME
I have lived in Amsterdam for four years now. Although I am not originally from this city, Amsterdam has become an important character in my work. You will see the city regularly in the prints that I design. It is my home, the place where I feel good and where I can explore the streets and its people.
I live in the northern part of the city, which is accessible by boat, so I kind of feel like I live on an island. I have a cozy house with a little garden where I plant flowers and herbs. And as a bonus I am visited regularly by the neighbourhood cats for cuddles.
I love the block printing process. I love how the material of the block adds its own characteristics to a drawing. The rugged edges and the extra lines. It makes me stop controlling the whole process and let nature help me in creating a print.
